(August 25, 2022) — Oak Lodge Water Services (OLWS) will be replacing an estimated 60-year-old water mainline located on SE Aldercrest Rd and SE Oatfield Rd, between 4073 SE Aldercrest Rd and 12395 SE Oatfield Rd. Construction will begin September 6, 2022 and is expected to continue through the upcoming fall and winter. This project is a $1,659,307.34 investment in the water system serving your area, paid using funds saved from your rate dollars. The typical life span of this investment is 75 years.

The road will be closed while work is taking place on Aldercrest Rd between Oatfield Rd and Rusk Rd. A small section of Oatfield Rd will be closed between Aldercrest Rd and Milwaukie city limits (bridge over Kellogg Creek), which will be coordinated not to be closed at the same time as Aldercrest Rd. Detour routes will be set up and OLWS will maintain local access for residents impacted by the project.

Emergency vehicles will continue to have road access at all times. Temporary driveway access may be provided by placing steel plates over the exposed work areas while that section is being installed and/or connected. During construction, heavy equipment and materials will be located in the work area. These areas will be clearly marked with cones and/or caution tape. When construction is occurring noise and dust may be present.
