Susan D. Keil was appointed to the board of the Oak Lodge Sanitary District in 2014 and elected for a four year term in May of 2015. After voter approval of the consolidation of the Oak Lodge Sanitary and Oak Lodge Water Districts, she was elected to serve as one of five board members on the newly formed Oak Lodge Water Services District board, where she serves as Director.
Prior to retirement, Susan held management positions in both the public and private sectors including; Director of Transportation, Wastewater and Stormwater management and Personnel Director for the City of Portland as well as with First Interstate Bank and the Bell System. She holds a B.A. in Modern Languages and a M.B.A. from Portland State University.
She is also the Chair of the Board of OMSI and serves on the Board of Pioneer Courthouse Square. Previously, she has chaired and served on numerous civic, cultural and social service boards in the area.
Susan believes that customers and ratepayers deserve high quality drinking water and sanitary and surface water management services at the best cost possible. She also is committed to ensuring that clear, honest communication about the business of Oak Lodge Water Services is provided to citizens.
