Monday, March 15, 2021. Fix a leak Week March 15–21, 2021
Across the nation Fix a Leak Week officially kicks off on March 15, 2021. Finding and fixing leaks at home is a quick and easy way to save water and money. Household leaks waste more than one trillion gallons of water nationwide each year, from visible faucet drips to silent toilet leaks. Get in the habit of checking your whole house for leaks at least twice a year. If you already check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors twice annually, add this to your list.
Calling all junior leak detectives! Are you ready for your first assignment? The Regional Water Providers Consortium is giving away free Junior Leak Detective Kits for kids ages 5 – 10 this month! Join your kids in checking common culprits like showerheads, faucets, water heaters, and toilets for sneaky leaks using the items in the kit. Future Junior Leak Detectives and their grown-ups can participate by starting here: http://bit.ly/jrleakpromo
